Die Laufzeit hängen von Start- und Zielort, Grenzsituation und transportart ab. In der Praxis bewegen sich die meisten transports innerhalb folgender Zeiträume:
- Komplettladung (FTL): 2–5 Werktage
- Teilladung (LTL): 4–7 Werktage
- Stückgut: abhängig von Umschlagpunkten, meist 5–10 Werktage
Grenzübergänge können die Laufzeit durch Wartezeiten, Sicherheitskontrollen oder Zollprozess variieren. Auch die Route spielt eine Rolle, da verschiedene Grenzpunkte unterschiedliche Verkehrslagen aufweisen.
